A 43-year-old record in the 3200m has be toppled by Junior Mitchell Dunlap. The previous record of 9:12.5, set by Jeff Costello in 1983, stood for over four decades. Last Saturday, at Distance Night Under the Lights at Houseman Field, Mitchell set the new mark with an incredible time of 9:10.91! Mitchell’s outstanding season continues as he heads to the State Finals this weekend at Hamilton High School, competing in both the 1600m and 3200m. Congratulations, Mitchell, and good luck at State!
